    One of the first applications of the latest aluminium glazing system from Technal is a visionary new primary school in Hampshire for children with learning difficulties.  The revolutionary MODAL low rise façade system was specified for Forest Park School near Southampton.

    Designed by Hampshire County Council’s in-house architects and constructed by Morgan Sindall in a £8.9m contract, the new building has created an inspirational, child-centred facility which is set to transform special school provision in Hampshire.

    A new hospital building which provides state-of-the-art patient facilities and a high quality healing environment features structural glazing from Technal to create a flush façade and flood the wards with natural light.

    Designed by The Manser Practice, the scheme at Chesterfield Royal Hospital has a T-shaped plan which reinvents the traditional layout of wards to improve efficiency and patient dignity.  Each ward has two clusters of patient rooms with windows created from Technal’s MX SSG curtain walling to ensure a high level of natural light and further improve the patient experience.

    An award-winning city centre regeneration project in Wakefield is one of the first applications of a new addition to Technal’s MX aluminium curtain walling suite – the MX62 option developed to accommodate larger dimensions and maximise natural light.

    Designed by Carey Jones Chapmantolcher, the first phase of the £140m Merchant Gate development is located in the heart of Wakefield’s historic Civic Quarter and has created a vibrant new centre for business, leisure and living.  Five high specification buildings and a multi-storey car park feature more than 2,600sqm of Technal’s façade systems, fabricated and installed by Dortech Architectural Systems.

    Architectural aluminium glazing specialist, Technal, in partnership with fabricators Quest Solutions, has supplied around 1,500 windows for the new £250m Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield – the UK’s fastest-built large acute inpatient hospital.

    The 88,000sqm hospital is part of a £311m PFI project for Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust, developed by Consort Healthcare – a joint venture between Balfour Beatty and Haden Young.  It was designed by lead architects BDP.

    More than 3,000sqm of Technal’s glazing systems for the new Charles Morris Hall were fabricated and installed by Dortech Architectural in a £1m contract and fast-track programme for design and build contractors Morgan Sindall.

    The first application of the latest aluminium glazing system from Technal is now under construction.  The revolutionary new MODAL low rise façade system has been specified for the Sirius Academy and Ganton Special School in Hull.

     

    Designed by Aedas and under construction by Balfour Beatty Construction, the Hull National Academies Framework project will replace Pickering High School and provide a new site for Ganton Special School.
